As my girlfriend said “Cultural assimilation? Nailed it.” This photo has an old-fashioned magazine feel that always reminds me of Christmas.
(click image to view full size) The week before school started I took my nephew Junior for a “guys only” weekend. I was feeling a little sentimental as we hiked along the rocky trail. I changed his diapers, now he’s starting high school. Suddenly we came upon a hidden cove and Junior rushed into the water with absolute abandon. I’m so grateful I had my camera to capture this moment of childlike joy from a young man growing up too fast.
